Written because I take serious issue with the tendency this fandom has to write people licking Derek’s abs without regard for the fact that that’s something Kate did to him and, from canon evidence, is so very not okay in his book. Also because there’s been a lot of talk about consent on my dash lately, and this seemed an apt thing to add to that discussion.
Future fic where the boys have been together for a while and are just starting to get physically intimate. Stiles has had a few partners, but Derek’s only ever been with Kate and Stiles. Unbeta’d.

“No.”
The word punches out of Derek’s chest like it’s almost too much to handle, and has Stiles looking up from where he has his tongue pressed to the center of Derek’s belly, licking the cut of his abs. He blinks, forcing his brain to catch up with what’s going on. Then he draws back altogether, too lust-addled to figure out what changed. “No?”
Relief spreads over Derek’s face, sudden and unbidden. “No.”
